240 people belonging to 70 families are detained in the safety center of Poonagala, No. 01 Vidyalaya due to the landslide situation that occurred last night(March 19, 2023) in Poonagala Kabaragala section under Haldummulla divisional secretariat division in Badulla district.

Due to this incident, 06 people were injured, 03 houses are fully damaged, 37  houses have been partially damaged and cooked meal was given to the disaster victims who are in the safety center. And it is reported by the Badulla District Secretary.
