A warehouse was set up under the Ministry Social Services in 2005 to maintain relief items for Tsunami. It has been maintained continuously by NDRSC and relief equipments such as Dry Foods, Water, Shelters/Tents, Hygienic Equipments, Health Equipments, Kitchen Utensils, Boat Engine and Clothes are stored to manage emergency situations. Further, water pumps, Water Tanks, and water purification equipments were stored and distributed among the drought places. The NDRSC distributes these relief items in need to the disaster affected areas through the relevant District Secretary.
